Surfer Pedro Scooby has found out he has a paternal half-sister he didn't know about. The revelation came out through a lawsuit involving the heirs of Alexandre Cosme Vianna, the surfer's father, who died in April 2024. The young woman is named Mylena and was registered by him, according to Scooby's sister Maria Eduarda in an account to Metrópoles columnist Lucas Pasin published on Friday (9).

The suit was filed by Josilene, a former domestic worker at a farm Alexandre owned in Vassouras (Rio de Janeiro state). She alleges she was used as a front after signing documents she believed were related to her job, and only discovered her blocked accounts when trying to access benefits after a stroke; she is asking for a declaration that she is not a partner in the companies and R$10,000 in moral damages. After Alexandre's death, the case came to name his children — including Scooby, Maria Eduarda and João Vitor — and two other women. The allegations have not been proven, and being named in the case does not mean taking part in the conduct described.

Maria Eduarda said the siblings learned of Mylena about two days before speaking to the press and that not even Alexandre's ex-wives knew about her. Scooby, who only met his brother Otto in 2020 after Otto reached out on social media, said he did not closely follow his father's life and does not rule out other unregistered children.
