Snoop Dogg hosts the 2026 VMAs, brings the party back to L.A. and teases Madonna
The rapper said he only agreed to host because the show returned to the West Coast.
Snoop Dogg hosted the 2026 VMAs, the first on the West Coast in nearly a decade. In his monologue he said that when he was asked, he wanted to know if it would be in Los Angeles: “No? Well, I’m busy.”
He promised “the biggest party the VMAs has ever seen” and joked that Madonna “ain’t a virgin no more”, a nod to “Like a Virgin”.
Snoop’s first time on the VMAs stage was as a performer, in 1993.
