In a video released on Saturday (Oct. 3), the businessman said: 'Some people said I lied, so I insist on telling this whole story.' He added: 'I built my wealth honestly, with a lot of effort, I don't need Vorcaro's money or anyone's.'
The case involves a 2024 investment in SteelCorp, structured as debt convertible into equity. In the messages, Justus repeatedly pressed Vorcaro to complete the conversion and even raised the possibility of a judicial recovery filing if the amount stayed on the books as debt. A R$130 million buyback proposal appears in the negotiations.
Justus put the relationship in context: 'In 2024, Vorcaro was the most celebrated banker in the country, he had won awards, he was investing in dozens of businesses.' He also said he left the deal as soon as suspicions emerged: 'When suspicions arose about this fund, I got out immediately.' According to Poder360 reporting cited by the press, there was no illegality in the transaction.
