Robbie Williams' time in Argentina has gained another chapter, this time told by Mario Pergolini. On El Trece's 'Otro día perdido', the host announced he would 'debunk a very famous story' about the British singer in the country. His version is far less racy than the legend: according to Pergolini, while everyone said Robbie was 'doing something with someone', the star was actually playing FIFA with Pergolini's business partner, Maxi Peñalver.

According to his account, the match started after an interview and dragged on into the early hours. Pergolini said he left earlier, but Peñalver stayed and only finished playing with the singer around 5 or 6 a.m. Panelists Evelyn Botto and Soy Rada joined the conversation on the show. The host did not specify which of Robbie's Buenos Aires visits he meant, nor did he name anyone linked to the alleged story.

The remarks come amid the buzz stirred by Robbie himself, who this week said on stage that he slept with an Argentine fan and added that she 'is not who you think', in reference to old speculation involving Amalia Granata. Since Pergolini did not clarify which episode he was talking about, it cannot be said for sure that the FIFA match debunks that particular case. For now, it is the host's word against years of gossip, and the topic keeps fueling Argentine TV shows.
