Wladimir Klitschko files for guardianship of daughter Kaya's inheritance from Hayden Panettiere

Former boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko, 50, filed court papers on September 24 seeking temporary guardianship over the estate of Kaya, 11, his daughter with actress Hayden Panettiere. Panettiere died on August 16 at age 36; her death was ruled accidental.

The filing argues it is urgent because, without an appointed representative, the actress's property could be 'lost, damaged or dissipated.' It notes that designer clothing, accessories and jewelry were temporarily removed from her Los Angeles home during the investigation into her death.

Kaya is the sole heir to the estate, estimated at around $6 million. Klitschko is asking for authority to protect her interests and to nominate an administrator.
