Leading the project is Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the veteran producer of the 'Transformers' franchise — including the animated 'Transformers One' — and titles such as 'Snake Eyes' and 'Madame Web'. For now there is no writer, director, cast or date announced, suggesting the film is still in the earliest stages of development.
The franchise has already moved beyond games with novels, comics and Netflix's anime 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners', which became a fan phenomenon. About three years ago, CD Projekt Red itself announced a live-action project with production company Anonymous Content; the reports do not say whether the Polish studio is involved in the new film.
