From Cecil B. DeMille's home to a Hollywood goodbye: the $24.75 million mansion Angelina Jolie just sold
The actress bought the historic Los Feliz estate in 2017, shortly after splitting from Brad Pitt, and has now sold it for well below her original asking price.

The house is a piece of Hollywood history: it belonged to legendary director Cecil B. DeMille, of classics like 'The Ten Commandments', and has ties to Charlie Chaplin. It spans about 11,000 square feet on 2.1 acres, with six bedrooms and ten bathrooms.
The perks include a fitness studio, a pool house and a guest house. The basement holds a laundry room, staff quarters and a wine cellar. Outside, there are century-old trees, sprawling lawns and plenty of privacy, with views of the Hollywood Hills, the famous sign and Griffith Observatory.
Jolie bought the property in 2017 for $24.5 million, shortly after her separation from Brad Pitt. In May of this year she listed it for $29.85 million, but ended up accepting much less: her final profit was just $250,000, according to TMZ.
The actress has not publicly explained why she sold. Whoever bought it gets an address that once belonged to one of the biggest names of Hollywood's golden age.
