In an interview with gshow that made the rounds this week, the 77-year-old host of Globo's morning show Mais Você said dating has to continue after the 'I do', 'otherwise it turns into a condo meeting'. And she shared what she considers foolproof: every now and then, no matter how long a couple has been together, 'pick a really unlikely moment, look at them and ask: Will you marry me? It's so worth it'.
Officially married since April 2025 to journalist Fábio Arruda, in a civil ceremony for about 50 guests in São Paulo — with Luciano Huck, Angélica, Sabrina Sato, Eliana and Tati Machado on the list — she argued that romance 'lives much more in everyday life than in grand gestures': asking how the other's day went, making something they like, traveling together, respecting space. 'Good love doesn't trap, doesn't diminish, doesn't demand you stop being who you are — it adds up,' she summed up. The two also work together, and the rule is clear: 'Fábio knows my ways and knows that when we're working, the subject is work.'
The veteran also spoke about the butterflies that, after decades on air, never go away: 'The butterflies are respect for the audience and for the work,' she said, adding that today they come 'with a whole lot of joy'. On situations that 'shake your existence to the core', she said she doesn't romanticize hardship but chose to keep going, working, loving and making plans, and that she learned to ask for help. 'Life has given me a few very clear messages, and I learned to listen. So, as long as life says come, I'll go.'
