Kai Cenat wants to take 'Yo chat' off the planet. On a Thursday (Oct. 8) stream, the 24-year-old American streamer said he is gathering astronauts and space specialists so he can one day broadcast from orbit, naming 2027 as the project's focus year while admitting the flight itself may not happen by then. 'We are going to reach for the stars,' he promised.

He said part of the preparation will become content, including an extended segment about the planets and the solar system. Clips from the stream spread across social media on Friday (Oct. 9). The idea is not new: in November 2024, during his Mafiathon 2 marathon, Cenat said he wanted to be the first streamer to talk to chat from space, and he even messaged Elon Musk about it.

So far, however, no spaceflight provider, training organization or agency has confirmed a deal with the creator, who has not named partners or a vehicle. The announcement comes weeks after he streamed from inside a dormant volcano in Iceland for his 'Exploring the Unexplored' series. With more than 21 million followers, Cenat is the most-followed streamer on Twitch.
