A €4 million home, a team with Piqué and 8.7 million live viewers: inside the empire of Ibai, who just signed 'the biggest deal of my life'
The Basque caster who once earned pocket money commentating LoL now owns the biggest Spanish-language event on the internet, and promises the next Velada will be 'another level'.

That is how Ibai Llanos, 31, announced on a Twitch stream this week that he has signed 'the biggest deal' of his career, tied to La Velada del Año VII, planned for 2027. Neither the brand nor the figures were disclosed: the streamer says he will record the content next week and that the full announcement is due from Oct. 20 to 24. 'For me, this is another level,' he said.
The excitement makes sense given what he has already built. Born in Bilbao, Ibai started in 2014 commentating League of Legends matches and became the face of Spanish-language streaming. Created in 2021, La Velada has been the year's most-watched live broadcast since its second edition; the sixth, in July, drew about 80,000 people to La Cartuja in Seville, with performances by Juanes, Bad Gyal and Yandel, reached more than 34 million devices and peaked at 8.7 million concurrent viewers.
Outside the ring, the empire includes KOI, the esports team he co-founded with Gerard Piqué in 2021, which billed more than €8 million in its first year and is now part of Movistar KOI, and Porcinos FC, the club he presides over in the Kings League. In 2023, Ibai said his fortune was somewhere from 5 to 15 million euros. After living in Samuel Eto'o's former mansion, he moved into a Barcelona home that he says cost about €4 million including renovations.
