1. The date is holding. GTA 6 arrives Nov. 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, and a Switch 2 port is considered unlikely. Pre-orders have been open since June 25.

2. Preload a week early. Digital buyers can start downloading the game on Nov. 12. The standard edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate edition $99.99; every pre-order placed before launch gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, with '80s outfits and a 1955 car.

3. A box with no disc. According to Tom's Guide, physical copies contain only a download code rather than a disc, so a solid internet connection will be needed on install day. An industry report points to a disc version in December, but Rockstar hasn't confirmed it.

4. A heavy rating. The game is rated M (17+) in the U.S., with descriptors including 'Nudity,' 'Strong Sexual Content' and 'Use of Drugs and Alcohol.' In Australia and New Zealand, the PlayStation Store listing explicitly mentions 'sex scenes,' which stirred up fans, though VICE notes the new wording alone doesn't prove the game will be more explicit than GTA 5.

5. A massive map. In Game Informer's cover story, Rockstar North's Aaron Garbut said Leonida is about twice the size of GTA 5's map, split into six regions from Vice City to Mount Kalaga National Park, with more than 170 animal species and hurricanes in the weather system.

6. Collectibles and swag. The $399.99 collector's box doesn't include the game, and fans say they'd rather have the kits Rockstar sent to influencers such as YouTuber TmarTn, with T-shirts, tote bags and money clips. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat released a $55 tee recreating GTA Vice City's 100% completion reward and will wear themed uniforms against the Milwaukee Bucks on Nov. 18, the eve of launch.
