A 20-year fansite shut down, a fan exhibition for 300 with only 50 sign-ups and a romance with Nana the same week: T.O.P's agency apologizes — 'We will listen more closely'
CHOIDOT, the former BIGBANG member's biggest fan community since 2006, closed down accusing the singer and TOPSPOT Pictures of neglect.

The statement came a day after CHOIDOT (choiseunghyun.com), the main fansite of the former BIGBANG member, announced it was shutting down after 20 years — the site ran from August 24, 2006 to October 9, 2026. Its administrators accused the singer and the company of neglecting the fandom, offering no official contact channels during promotions for the solo album 'ANOTHER DIMENSION' and relying on fans' volunteer work for promotion.
The trigger was a fan exhibition inspired by the album, scheduled for October 31 and November 1. Planned for about 300 people, it drew applications for only 25% of that, and participation later dropped to about 50, raising costs and leading to its cancellation. Because the news coincided with T.O.P's relationship with actress Nana, formerly of After School, reported on October 2, part of the internet linked the exodus to the romance — a reading CHOIDOT itself rejected, saying it distorts the issue.
In the statement, the agency thanks fans for their long-standing support, says it is taking the feedback 'seriously' and apologizes to those who waited without enough news about his activities. 'From now on, we will listen more closely to the opinions you send,' it promises, adding that it will review its communication methods. CHOIDOT, however, said the company seemed more bothered by the publication of reservation numbers than by the underlying problems.
