Directed by Swift herself, the video premiered during the VMAs and sent fans hunting for Easter eggs.

Swift directed the clip herself, with three-time Oscar winner Emmanuel Lubezki as director of photography.
Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson play a couple in the video, while Swift appears as Farrell's ex. Cara Delevingne also features, and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford can be spotted dancing in the background with his wife, Kelly — the pair attended Swift and Travis Kelce's summer wedding.
At the same ceremony, Swift received MTV's first-ever Artist Director Honor, noting she has appeared in roughly 60 music videos and written and directed 18 of them. She credited fans for the motivation, saying they genuinely care about what gets made.
