Shakira returns this Saturday (Oct. 10) to Estadio Shakira, the temporary arena set up inside the Iberdrola Music complex in Villaverde, southern Madrid, opening the final weekend of the European residency of her 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' tour. The stadium, built for music rather than adapted from a soccer ground, holds about 55,000 people per night, and organizers expect 57,000 visitors per show day.

Around it, the singer raised Macondo Park, a roughly 30-hectare 'city' assembled in about 30 days and named after the village in García Márquez's 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'. It includes the Shakira Museum, a library with a café and book club hosting 12 meetings with 24 authors — Rosa Montero and Lydia Cacho among them —, a Latin American food market curated by Seville chef Rafa Zafra and Macondito, a kids' area. The site, designed to welcome more than 600,000 people over the residency, will be taken down once the shows end.

Oct. 11 was originally the closing date, but Shakira added the '12+1' show on Monday (Oct. 12), Spain's Hispanic Day, with Maluma (expected to sing 'Agua' and 'Chantaje'), Beéle and Spain's Dani Martín, formerly of El Canto del Loco. Before them, Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini, Manuel Turizo and Dua Lipa had already joined her on stage in Madrid.
