The British star was named a Guest of Honor of Buenos Aires and fell for the Argentine singalong at his second Movistar Arena show.

At his second Movistar Arena show on Friday (Oct. 2), the crowd spontaneously started singing 'De música ligera', Soda Stereo's biggest classic, from the 1990 album 'Canción animal'. Surprised, the singer stopped the show and asked: 'What is that?' He then said he wanted to find out what the song was and cover it, sealing the deal with the audience: 'Well, we'll do it on Sunday, OK?'
That same day, the Buenos Aires Legislature named him a Guest of Honor of the City, in a ceremony at the arena led by legislator Pablo Donati and city chief of staff Gabriel Sánchez Zinny. Moved, he returned the love: 'Argentina is a special crowd, one of the best in the world.'
Williams is playing three sold-out shows at the arena, on Oct. 1, 2 and 4, featuring songs from his album 'Britpop' and his greatest hits, marking his return to the country after 20 years. The visit had already sparked buzz this week when he said on stage that he slept with an Argentine fan 'who isn't who you think.' If he keeps his word, Sunday (Oct. 4) will feature Soda Stereo with a British accent.
