'It's not who you think': Robbie Williams says on stage he slept with an Argentine fan, points at 'Diego', and Amalia Granata responds

Robbie Williams returned to Buenos Aires after 20 years and turned Thursday's (Oct. 1) show at the Movistar Arena into national talk in Argentina. Between songs, the British star said he 'really shouldn't tell this' but had just spotted a fan in the crowd he had slept with on his last visit — adding: 'It's not who you think.'

He then pointed at a bearded man in the audience: 'I didn't recognize you because you have a beard now. You were a very tender lover. Good to see you again, Diego.' The joke was read as a way to defuse the usual speculation about his brief 2004 romance with Amalia Granata, now a lawmaker, who was seen entering the hotel where the singer is staying but said she was attending a private birthday party.

On Friday (Oct. 2), Granata addressed it on the show 'La Mañana con Moria'. She described the 2004 encounter as 'romantic and passionate, but not wild', recalled visiting him in Los Angeles in 2007 and said she would like to reconnect 'from a different place': she proposed that Robbie become a patron of the foundation she runs, focused on ADHD and dyslexia.
