'I'm single, I don't have a boyfriend': Olivia Rodrigo shuts down investor rumors and vows to never use AI — 'Absolutely no'
In a Hollywood Reporter cover story, the singer said she feels 'stalked' by photos of casual dates and drew a hard line against artificial intelligence in music.

The first is romantic: 'I'm single, I don't have a boyfriend,' she said. Since the summer she had been linked to Julian Croonenberghs, a private-equity associate at Hg Capital and former Goldman Sachs analyst, after being photographed with him at a Brooklyn dinner, traveling back from Iceland and at a park. Without naming him, the singer said the man was never her boyfriend.
'It's so hard and kind of sad, especially because relationships are supposed to be something private,' she said. 'Every time I go on a casual date with a guy, there's a picture of it on the internet. It feels like you're being stalked and then judged for pictures.' Online, some fans had criticized the rumored romance over his firm's investments in artificial intelligence, even citing a line from 'Expectations' in which she says she doesn't want a man with a 'fake job.'
Hence her second answer, on AI: 'I would never use AI in any of my music. Absolutely no. Hard line on that,' she said, per Consequence. She recalled that she and producer Dan Nigro once asked ChatGPT what it would title an Olivia Rodrigo song, and the suggestions were 'all awful.' The interview also covers the 'Unraveled' tour, which began in September, and Daisy Chain, the festival she created. Her album 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love' is still going strong: it was the No. 2 most-consumed album in the U.S. on the latest Billboard chart.
