LISA wins Best Pop at the 2026 VMAs over Taylor, Ariana and Sabrina
“Dream”, with Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi, took the category; she also debuted “SaWaDiKa” on TV.
LISA won Best Pop at the 2026 VMAs for “Dream”, a collaboration with Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi. Also in the race were Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli xcx and Tate McRae. According to Awards Watch, she is the first K-pop solo artist to win the category.
“All those late-night dreams brought me here today,” she said, accepting the award from Teyana Taylor.
The same night, LISA gave the first TV performance of “SaWaDiKa”, on a boxing-ring-meets-nightclub set, arriving by tuk-tuk. The song leads her EP “Press Play”, due October 23.
