The Latin Recording Academy announced its 2026 nominations on Sept. 16, and the Best Sertaneja Music Album category gathers some of the genre's biggest names: Ana Castela ("Fire Arena"), Simone Mendes ("Cantando Sua História 2 – Ao Vivo"), Lauana Prado ("Raiz BH – Ao Vivo/Deluxe"), Luan Santana ("Registro Histórico – Ao Vivo") and Traia Véia ("Traia Acústico – Ao Vivo").

The race pits two artists from Mato Grosso do Sul state against each other. Ana Castela lands her third straight nomination and already won in 2024, while Luan Santana has six career nominations and is still chasing his first win.

Among Brazilians outside sertanejo, the headline is Anitta, nominated for Album of the Year for "EQUILIBRIVM." The 27th Latin Grammy Awards take place Nov. 12 in Las Vegas.
