Cameron Winter, frontman of New York band Geese, releases 'Live at Carnegie Hall' this Friday (Oct. 9), a document of the solo show he played last year at the storied New York concert hall. The performance, which put the musician among the youngest artists to headline a night at Carnegie Hall, arrives in two formats: a live album and a film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the filmmaker behind 'There Will Be Blood' and 'One Battle After Another'.

The show took place just as Geese were on the rise, driven by their 2025 album 'Getting Killed'. Alone on stage, Winter performed material from his solo career, which began with 2024's 'Heavy Metal', a record that had already become a cult favorite among alternative rock fans.

Early reception is enthusiastic. Music newsletter Gold Soundz called the release an 'instant classic' and placed it on the same shelf as landmark concert films such as 'The Last Waltz', 'Rust Never Sleeps' and 'Stop Making Sense'. No details have been announced yet about screenings of Anderson's film in theaters or on streaming.
