BTS did their homework before arriving in South America. At the close of their first show at Bogotá's El Campín stadium, with all seven members seated on a rotating platform to talk to the crowd, RM ended his speech with 'gracias totales.' The phrase is sacred to Spanish-language rock: it's how Gustavo Cerati said goodbye to fans at Soda Stereo's final concert in 1997.

The nod didn't go unnoticed by Latin American fans, especially Argentines, who read it as a message for the tour's next stop. On the same night, V said he had been studying Spanish and tried out Colombian expressions that sent the crowd wild, SUGA reflected on the group's 13-year journey and the growing presence of Korean artists in Colombia, and J-Hope said the reception exceeded his expectations.

After the second Bogotá night on Saturday (Oct. 3), BTS continue their Latin run, which includes three dates at Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata on Oct. 21, 23 and 24. If 'gracias totales' was a teaser, Argentine fans already know what to ask for.
