Peruvian ponchos and chullos, an early 'happy birthday' for Jimin and 'We'll be back': BTS wrap 3 Lima shows with a surprise 'House of Cards' and 'Please' sung seated on stage
At the last of three concerts at Estadio San Marcos, the seven members wore traditional Peruvian clothing for the final stretch and promised to return.
Foto: Reprodução/RPPBTS said goodbye to Peru on Saturday night (10) with an image that quickly went viral: in the final stretch of the third and last 'Arirang World Tour' show at Estadio San Marcos in Lima, RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook appeared in ponchos and chullos, the traditional Andean hats. In that outfit the group ran through 'FYA', 'Come Over', 'Butter' and 'Dynamite'. The concert, on a 360-degree stage, started shortly after 8 p.m. with fireworks and ran over two hours.
The setlist opened with 'Hooligan', 'Aliens' and 'Run BTS', with 'House of Cards' and 'UGH!' as surprises. Before 'FYA', RM led the crowd with 'Let Peru scream!' and said he regretted not being able to visit Machu Picchu this time, adding that seeing Peruvian ARMYs was enough. Jin praised the crowd's energy and signed off with 'I love you forever, darling'; V said he was sad it was the last day and asked for the group to come back; SUGA thanked fans for the three days and called Lima a 'really cool' city; and Jung Kook summed it up: 'Thank you very much. We'll be back.'
One of the most emotional moments was the stadium singing 'Happy Birthday' to Jimin, who turns a year older on Tuesday (13); he thanked fans and said he would keep the gesture in his heart. The show ended with 'Please', performed with all seven seated on stage, and 'Into the Sun'. The group arrived in Lima on October 5 from Bogotá and performed on the 7th, 9th and 10th.
