The remastered 'Avengers: Endgame Encore', which adds extra scenes tied to 'Avengers: Doomsday', grossed about $26 million in the US over the September 25–27 weekend plus another $60 million internationally. That puts the 2019 blockbuster back at No. 1 almost seven years after its original run.

'Resident Evil' slipped to second with $23 million and crossed $100 million domestically. The new releases followed: David Ayer's survival drama 'Heart of the Beast', starring Brad Pitt, took $20 million; A24's 'Primetime', with Robert Pattinson, earned $19.2 million; and DreamWorks' animated 'Forgotten Island' landed $12.8 million.

According to Boxoffice Pro, the weekend totaled $124 million, up nearly 50% from the same frame in 2025. 'Endgame' now sits at $2.88 billion worldwide, roughly $39 million behind 'Avatar', while 'Doomsday' opens December 18 in the US.
