40 million in 13 days: 'Reacher' spinoff 'Neagley' renewed for Season 2

Prime Video has renewed 'Neagley,' the 'Reacher' spinoff starring Maria Sten, for a second season. The announcement came Wednesday (Oct. 1), two weeks after all eight first-season episodes dropped on the platform on Sept. 16.

According to trade reports, the series reached 40 million viewers in its first 13 days. 'Audiences around the world have embraced Frances Neagley as a force all her own,' said Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios.

In the show, Neagley, a former member of Jack Reacher's Army unit now working as a private investigator in Chicago, looks into a friend's suspicious death; Alan Ritchson appears as Reacher. Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton are the showrunners. No date has been set for the new season — and the parent series, 'Reacher,' is already renewed for Season 6.
