Dennis Haskins, Mr. Belding of 'Saved by the Bell,' dies at 75
The actor was beloved as Bayside High's principal; no cause of death has been disclosed.
Foto: Getty ImagesDennis Haskins, best known as Principal Richard Belding on the sitcom 'Saved by the Bell,' has died at 75. The news was confirmed on Monday night (Sept. 28), and no cause of death has been made public.
His agent of 20 years, Jay Schachter, paid tribute, saying everyone loved Mr. Belding and those who knew Dennis loved him even more. He added that Haskins always made time for his fans.
On the 1980s–90s series, Haskins played the strict but caring principal trying to keep Zack Morris and the Bayside High gang in line. He reprised the role in the spinoffs 'Saved by the Bell: The College Years' and 'Saved by the Bell: The New Class.'
