Bought for $9 million, sold for $41 million: the 1928 mansion that once belonged to Bruce Willis is one of LA's biggest sales of 2026
The Benedict Canyon home, with a screening room, wine cellar and a primary suite with two closets, went from the star to an Argentine couple and just returned almost 150%.

The Mediterranean-style mansion at 1005 Benedict Canyon Drive in Beverly Hills sold off-market for $41.25 million, the second-largest residential sale in Los Angeles County in 2026, according to the New York Post and The Real Deal.
Built in 1928 and expanded over the decades, the property has seven bedrooms on nearly an acre, a resort-style pool, landscaped gardens and fireplaces throughout. Inside, it keeps its original exposed beams and has a double-height entry, a chef's kitchen with two islands, a wood-paneled office, a screening room and a wine cellar. The primary suite opens onto a terrace and has a spa-like bath and two walk-in closets.
The math is striking. Willis bought the house in 2004 from producer Alan Ladd Jr. for about $9 million and sold it in 2014 for $16.5 million to Andrea and Carlos Alberini, the Argentine executive tied to Guess and former co-CEO of Restoration Hardware. The resale brought in almost $25 million more than they paid, before renovation and carrying costs. The buyer has not been identified. Willis, 71, has been away from acting since 2022 and was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia; the family now lives in California.
