A six-hour 'Fantástico', a shorter 'Domingão' and 'A Fazenda' on schedule: how Brazilian TV changes this election Sunday
Globo, Record, Band and RedeTV! reshuffle their lineups for the first-round count; SBT stays almost untouched, with The Voice and Silvio Santos on air.

On Globo, 'Domingão com Huck' signs off early, at 5 p.m. Brasília time, when 'Fantástico' starts an extended edition to follow the closing of the polls and the count. The newsmagazine runs until 11:25 p.m. — more than six hours on air — with reinforcement from Renata Lo Prete, of 'Jornal da Globo'. The network's plan had 'Em Família com Eliana' at 2:35 p.m. and 'Domingão' at 3:40 p.m.
On Record, coverage starts at 4:55 p.m. and runs until 6:30 p.m., when 'Domingo Espetacular' begins; reality show 'A Fazenda 18' stays put at 10:30 p.m. Band devotes 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. to the election and follows with an election-focused 'Canal Livre', dropping its film and documentary slots. RedeTV! goes first: it starts at 3:30 p.m. and stays on the count until 11 p.m., suspending shows such as 'Mega Sonho' and 'Vizinhos em Guerra'.
SBT goes the other way and keeps almost all of its entertainment lineup: 'Domingo Legal', 'The Voice' and 'Programa Silvio Santos' air as usual, with just one hour, from 11:45 p.m. to 12:45 a.m., set aside for results. Globo had already shaken up its schedule this week by canceling Thursday's presidential debate and giving more airtime to 'Quem Ama Cuida'.
