Prime Video screened the first full trailer for 'Blade Runner 2099' at its New York Comic Con panel on Saturday (10). The limited series is set 50 years after the events of 'Blade Runner 2049', in a rebuilt Los Angeles. Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant nearing the end of her life, who teams up with Cora, Hunter Schafer's character: a fugitive who takes on one last identity, that of a Blade Runner, to hunt a runaway hiding a truth that could bring down the city.

The footage leans into the franchise's noir mood and the plight of humans and replicants, with a line already circulating among fans: "'More Human Than Human' isn't a slogan, it's a curse," a nod to the Tyrell Corporation's motto in the 1982 film. All eight episodes arrive on the platform at once on November 25.

The creator and showrunner is Silka Luisa, who took the stage with executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson of Alcon. Ridley Scott, director of the original 'Blade Runner', is also an executive producer, and Jonathan van Tulleken directed the first two episodes. Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben round out the regular cast, with guest appearances by Sheila Atim, Tom Burke and Daniel Rigby, among others.
