1991–1993 contracts, reruns on Viva and Globoplay and even Hering ads: former Paquita Andréa Sorvetão sues Globo and Renato Aragão's production company over 'Os Trapalhões'
She and her husband, Conrado, seek payment for episodes rebroadcast without current authorization; Didi's defense pushes back, saying Globo acquired the rights.

The couple wants recognition of amounts they consider owed under so-called neighboring rights, tied to the use of performers' work in audiovisual productions. The amount sought and the court handling the case have not been disclosed.
According to the suit, Andréa worked on the comedy show in the 1990s under contracts signed between 1991 and 1993, which have expired and did not cover continuous use of her performances in new media. Even so, episodes featuring her still air on broadcast TV and Canal Viva and are sold on DVD and Globoplay without current authorization or payment. The suit also challenges old Hering commercials that air during the reruns and which, she says, hurt her ability to negotiate new campaigns. She says she sent an extrajudicial notice in December 2023 and got no reply.
Renato Aragão's defense, handled by the firm Figueiredo & Velloso, confirmed it has already filed its response. The lawyers challenge the legal basis for the claim, whether the cited episodes fall within the contract period and the attempt to hold the production company liable for exploitation by other companies, stating that 'the rights to broadcast and exploit Os Trapalhões were acquired by Globo'. As of publication, the network had not commented. The case is ongoing, with no ruling.
