Worlds spot on the line: LOUD face FURIA today in CBLOL, then fight for survival at Champions Shanghai tomorrow

LOUD are facing the most nerve-racking weekend of their season. On Saturday (Oct. 3) at 1 p.m. Brasília time, the League of Legends squad takes on FURIA in the CBLOL second split lower-bracket final, a best-of-five worth far more than a place in the decider. The winner locks in Brazil's second slot at the 2026 World Championship and meets LØS again in the grand final, set for Oct. 10 at Arena Carioca 1 in Rio de Janeiro.

LØS have already punched their ticket: they beat LOUD 3-2 last weekend to become the first Brazilian team confirmed for Worlds. FURIA reached the lower-bracket final after a come-from-behind 3-2 win over RED Canids. The Rio final also decides how each team enters Worlds: the CBLOL champion goes straight to the Swiss Stage, while the runner-up must go through Play-In. Worlds 2026 runs in the United States from Oct. 16 to Nov. 15, with the final at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

And the marathon doesn't stop there. On Sunday (Oct. 4), LOUD's Valorant roster plays the Group B decider at Champions in Shanghai against Global Esports, who knocked out China's EDG 2-0. LOUD dropped into the decider after a 2-0 loss to Vitality that featured a 36-round map (19-17 on Summit), one of the longest ever at an international event. The winner moves on to playoffs; the loser goes home.
