The revenge FURIA fans were hoping for never came. On Friday (Oct. 9), MOUZ beat the Brazilian side 2-0 in the ESL Pro League Season 24 quarterfinals, in Counter-Strike 2, eliminating them from the tournament. It was the Europeans' second sweep of FURIA in under a week: on Oct. 4, in the second round, the score had been the same.

The first map, Nuke, was the closest, ending 13-11 for MOUZ. On Inferno, the decider, the Europeans took control and closed it out 13-6. According to HLTV stats, MOUZ's PR was the standout with 39 kills and a 1.45 rating. For the Brazilians, YEKINDAR was the best performer (1.20 rating), while captain FalleN had a night to forget: 17 kills, 35 deaths and a 0.57 rating, the lowest in the match.

'Coming into today, confidence was in the camp,' said MOUZ's torzsi, who credited the win to coach sycrone's read on the map veto. MOUZ, still unbeaten in the competition, face Spirit again on Saturday (Oct. 10), while FURIA's Pro League run is over and the team turns its focus to the rest of the season.
