On Wednesday (Oct. 7), the Brazilian side swept Argentina's 9z 2-0, winning 13-7 on Nuke and routing them 13-3 on Inferno. The Kazakh AWPer finished the series with 36 kills and only 14 deaths, 110 average damage per round and a 2.01 rating, according to Draft5.
After the match, FalleN, the captain and Brazilian CS legend, spoke on ESL's main broadcast and was full of praise for his teammate. 'He reminds me a bit of s1mple, to be honest,' the veteran said, comparing molodoy's AWP style to the Ukrainian star's. FalleN admitted he can't copy the youngster's style and also highlighted coach sidde's growing impact on the team.
The next test is a tough one: on Friday (Oct. 9) at 10:30 a.m. Brasília time, FURIA meets MOUZ again, the team that beat it in the opening stage, with a semifinal spot at stake. The other quarterfinals are 1w Team vs. Aurora, Vitality vs. PARIVISION and Falcons vs. Spirit. The $1 million event ends on Sunday (Oct. 11). After that, FURIA's schedule stays packed, with the Thunderpick World Championship in Malta, PGL Masters Bucharest and IEM Beijing.
