The first day is limited to press, accredited creators and Premium ticket holders, priced at R$ 423 (half price) and R$ 886 (full). The general public gets in from Saturday, with half-price tickets at R$ 224, and that day is close to selling out.
The official kickoff is the BGS Conference, set for 11:30 a.m. local time at the Monster Energy Arena, with 14 brands presenting news for the Brazilian market, including SEGA, Square Enix, Activision, Warner, Devolver and NetEase. Nintendo, Team Liquid and Alienware are also among the exhibitors.
On the show floor, the guest list stands out: Charles Martinet, Mario's former voice and now a Nintendo ambassador, Kenji Kanno, known for 'Crazy Taxi', and the creative leads behind 'Alien: Isolation 2'. In the indie area, Brazilian studio Mother Gaia is showing 'A Investigação Póstuma', set in 1937 Rio, in which players investigate the murder of Brás Cubas, a character created by Machado de Assis. The fair runs through Monday (Oct. 12).
