A year after its record-setting debut, 'The Life of a Showgirl' is back on top of the Billboard 200. On the chart dated Oct. 10, revealed Wednesday (Oct. 7), Taylor Swift's album jumped from No. 21 to No. 1 with 173,000 equivalent album units, up 619% week over week. That included 136,000 streaming units (138.79 million on-demand streams), 21,000 traditional album sales and 16,000 track-equivalent units. It's the album's 13th nonconsecutive week at No. 1 and its first since the Jan. 10 chart.

The fuel was 'The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,' released Sept. 25 with four new tracks: 'Patient Zero,' whose video premiered at the VMAs, 'Cleveland!,' 'Pink Clouding' and 'Babylon.' Behind Swift came Olivia Rodrigo's 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love' (67,000 units), Ella Langley's 'Dandelion,' Morgan Wallen's 'I'm the Problem' and Noah Kahan's 'The Great Divide.' For perspective: in its October 2025 debut, 'Showgirl' moved 4.002 million units in a single week.

And the party may go on. According to an early Hits Daily Double projection cited by Ratings Game Music, the album is tracking for about 87,000 units this week, ahead of Olivia Rodrigo (about 68,000) and Drake, who released the 'HABIBTI (FOMO)' edition with four new songs (about 65,000). If it holds, it would be the album's 14th week at No. 1 and, per the site, Taylor Swift's 100th career week atop the Billboard 200. Official numbers arrive on Sunday.
