Brazilian singer Pablo, one of the biggest names in arrocha music, has canceled the two concerts he was set to play in the United States: Boston on Friday (Oct. 2) and Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday (Oct. 3). The news came just days before the shows and turned into a public fight with the tour's promoter.

Adilson Alves Schuina, owner of Schuina Productions, says he had already paid more than US$88,000 (about R$455,000) and accuses the singer's camp of reneging. According to him, Pablo's manager, Mário Paim, simply said he 'wasn't going to board.'

In a statement, M&P Produções said the shows could not happen due to 'unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the artist and team', related solely to immigration: key team members were denied visas and others only had passports cleared on Sept. 30. The office thanked fans for their understanding; so far there is no word on refunds or new dates.
