According to People, the property sold in June 2026 for $46.95 million. The house sits in Trousdale Estates, the upscale hillside neighborhood, on a lot of nearly 2 acres, with roughly 18,300 square feet of living space, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The listing was held by Aaron Kirman's team at Christie's International Real Estate.
Designed by ID Group, the home is brutalist: 96 exposed concrete columns, a retractable glass wall connecting the main living room to an infinity-edge pool, a circular motor court and Los Angeles views. According to Latination, it also has a private cinema, a full gym and a motorcycle display under a skylight, and was originally built for Oakley founder James Jannard.
In the video, which premiered at the VMAs on Sept. 27 and stars Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, the icy architecture is no accident. Swift, who directed it, explained that the mansion serves as 'a metaphor for the coldness of a relationship that's faded and atrophied.' In other words: the more beautiful and empty the house, the worse the breakup.
