Her fifth album blends pop, bossa nova, funk, rock and electronic music and hit 4.1 million streams in 24 hours.

Luísa Sonza released her fifth studio album, “Brutal Paraíso”, on April 7. It runs 23 tracks and over an hour, arranged in three sections moving from introspection to sensuality and drama.

Singles “Telefone” and “Fruto do Tempo” came first, and the album features Xamã, Young Miko, Sebastián Yatra, MC Morena, MC Meno K and MC Paiva.

It logged 4.1 million Spotify streams in its first 24 hours and placed 13 songs on Brazil’s daily Top 200. Critics praised the ambition, though some felt it ran too long.
