'Discontent can't be bigger than our lucidity': Ivete stops her Fortaleza show, dances to a 'Lula' chant and talks about the runoff without naming names
At Saturday's 'Ivete Clareou' show at Colosso Fortaleza, the singer paused the samba to address Brazil's political moment after part of the crowd chanted the president's name.

The Bahian star danced along to the chant and then stopped the performance to talk about the country's situation, a few weeks before the runoff against Flávio Bolsonaro (PL).
Without explicitly asking for votes or naming any candidate, she said everyone's fears and frustrations are legitimate, but made an appeal: 'Discontent cannot be bigger than our lucidity.' She added a regional message: 'Everyone knows where the shoe pinches, especially here in this Northeast of ours.' According to the newspaper O Povo, part of the audience answered by singing Lula's 1989 campaign jingle.
It is not the first time the singer has reacted to pro-Lula chants at her shows: according to O Povo, it happened in 2022 and in Belo Horizonte on September 10 this year. Bahia outlets such as BNews described the remarks as support for the president. The 'Ivete Clareou' tour has a Salvador date scheduled for November 14.
