Not 'Iceman', 'Habibti' or 'Maid of Honour': the rapper didn't send any of his 2026 albums to the Recording Academy, per Billboard.

Drake did not submit any of his three 2026 albums — 'Iceman', 'Habibti' and 'Maid of Honour' — or any of their songs for the 2027 Grammys, according to Billboard sources cited by Music Business Worldwide. The records dropped together on May 15 and took the top three spots on the Billboard 200 in their debut week, a first since the chart began in 1956. 'Iceman' alone opened at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent units, the Canadian's 15th chart-topper.

He had hinted at the move on 'Make Them Know', the closing track of 'Iceman'. The boycott is nothing new: he withdrew his 'Certified Lover Boy' nominations in 2022, skipped submitting 'Honestly, Nevermind' and 'For All the Dogs', and hasn't attended since 2019, when he said onstage that music is 'an opinion-based sport, not a factual-based sport.' He has five wins from 56 nominations. The new albums are his first solo releases since the feud with Kendrick Lamar, whose 'Not Like Us' won five Grammys in 2025; Drake's defamation suit against Universal was dismissed, with an appeal set for December 4.

Drake isn't alone. BTS said in July they would keep 'ARIRANG' out of contention, weeks after the Academy created a Best Asian Pop Music Performance category, and JYP confirmed Stray Kids also entered nothing before the August 21 deadline. Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. kept the new category anyway: 'We understand this conclusion will not satisfy everyone.' Nominations arrive November 16, and the ceremony takes place February 7, 2027.
