Review: In 'Imagina o Trabalho', Ana Castela sings about being too lazy to start love over, trades the arena for a theater stage — and the internet is already thinking of Mioto
The new single from the Latin Grammy-nominated album 'FIRE ARENA' is a country-pop-tinged sertanejo about the temptation to go back to someone familiar.

The track is another chapter of 'FIRE ARENA', her second studio album, released in May, with nine songs and nominated for Best Sertanejo Music Album at the 2026 Latin Grammys — her third straight year in the category. Produced by Mateus Félix, who also co-wrote it with Ana and other collaborators, the song moves between sertanejo and country pop, in the same mood as 'É Que Eu Não Te Esqueci', which debuted at No. 39 on the Billboard Brasil Hot 100 and has about 29 million Spotify streams.
The charm lies in the premise. Instead of the classic heartbreak of losing someone, the lyrics are about the exhaustion of starting from scratch: getting to know someone new is work, so maybe it's easier to stick with what you have. The narrator tries to convince her partner that the problems will be gone by morning, and the chorus points to reconciliation. Ana herself sums it up as 'a mix of longing, affection and even a bit of laziness' — an almost comic honesty that freshens a worn theme and speaks directly to the young audience that made her the 'Boiadeira'.
In the video, the artist sets aside the rodeo aesthetic that usually surrounds her: the action takes place in a theater, where Ana dances while delivering the most intimate lines, a choice that reinforces the confessional tone. The timing helps. Last week, Gustavo Mioto, the singer's ex-boyfriend, joked on Instagram Stories that the lip-reading of a viral video of her with his mother, Jussara, was wrong — a clip that fueled speculation Ana wanted to get back together. The two dated, with breaks, from June 2023 to December 2024 and were seen in the same VIP area at the Barretos Rodeo in August. Nobody confirms anything, but the song arrives with a ready-made caption for fans.
On balance, 'Imagina o Trabalho' doesn't reinvent the 'FIRE ARENA' formula — the resemblance to 'É Que Eu Não Te Esqueci' is deliberate and at times predictable. But the central idea is clever, the delivery is restrained in the right measure, and the video shows an Ana Castela willing to step out of her visual comfort zone. It's a single built to stick and to spark conversation. Score: 7/10
