A portable speaker outside a restaurant in Spain and more than 60 million views: the Bulin 47 dembow freestyle that AI has already put in the mouths of Messi, Ronaldo and even Gustavo Petro

The Dominican singer's improv with Colombian creator Kevin Way became the week's Latin viral hit, spawned AI clones and a 'Bulin Day' that lasts until December.

It started with a sidewalk ambush. Colombian content creator and freestyler Kevin Way, also known as Kevin Wai, stopped Dominican urban artist Bulin 47 at the entrance of a restaurant in Spain with a portable speaker playing a dembow beat. Instead of walking on, the artist joined in and answered in rhyme, dance moves included, in a video that passed 50 million plays within days and, according to Dominican outlet De Último Minuto, has now topped 60 million across platforms.

The clip became a format. On TikTok and Instagram, users began swapping Bulin's face for other figures using AI while keeping the original voice. Versions have featured footballers Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland, the meme character Handsome Squidward, Dominican politicians and media figures such as senator Omar Fernández, and even Colombian president Gustavo Petro.

Bulin 47, the stage name of Hancel Teodoro Vargas Reynoso, thanked fans in a video and declared: 'From today until December, it's Bulin Day.' The buzz has also lifted 'Dame hombro', a song tied to the freestyle's impact online, while trend trackers show the improv among the most shared videos on global TikTok this week.
