Explained: Milca, Zé Vaqueiro and Ingra — a perfume trend, a fan 'ship' and an AI montage of the singer's son that has Ingra talking about lawyers
A dance clip set to the singer's song turned into an imaginary romance online, AI dragged a child into it, and the influencer ended it with 'Changed the trend, peace'.
Foto: Reprodução/Instagram via MetrópolesIt all started with a trend: influencer Milca Mariana, who hit 1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok in late September, posted a video dancing and 'catching' a spritz of perfume in midair to a piseiro track by Brazilian singer Zé Vaqueiro — who had done a similar bit days earlier. That was enough for the internet to 'ship' them. Milca was previously known for her roughly five-year relationship with singer Felipe Amorim, which ended in 2024.
Things spiraled when users began making AI images of Milca and Zé holding hands with the singer's young son with Ingra Soares, as if they were a family. Zé took to his Stories to draw a line: he said he understands that joking and making up stories is part of the internet, but objected to his son being placed 'in the middle of situations that belong to my personal life'. Ingra was harsher with a user who posted the montage in her comments — 'I'M WARNING YOU!' — and said she would consult lawyers.
The fight also reopened old wounds for the former couple, separated for 11 months. Ingra criticized what she called the singer's 'weak PR stance', said she was the one who ended the marriage and wrote that he 'wants to live the single, party life'. She also unfollowed Milca, who had already asked people to stop linking her name to the singer's. On Thursday (Oct. 8), the influencer reposted the same trend, this time without Zé's song, with a short caption: 'Changed the trend, peace'.
